TWO RECIPES - YOU CHOOSE!

I have two recipes for you to choose from. One contains Polysorbate 80, the other does not. Both recipes are wonderful in their own way, but the Polysorbate 80 has some added benefits.

Polysorbate 80 is a surfactant, emulsifier, and solubilizer, which is a fancy way of saying it helps the essential oils dissolve, dilute, and disperse in the water. Polysorbate 80 also helps disperse the color (if you were to add a colorful mica) and glitter in your bathtub. It prevents it from sticking to your tub (the dreaded ring) and your skin. Last, and certainly not least, it makes AMAZING foam.
You can read the Polysorbate 80 safety information here.

RECIPE ONE

Makes 4 Medium or 3 Large Bath Bombs

Ice Princess Printables Labels
1 cup Baking Soda
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/2 cup Epsom Salt
Biodegradable Micro Glitter (keep to the side)
6 tsp Grapeseed Oil
3 tsp Polysorbate 80
15 drops of Valor

INSTRUCTIONS
• In a large bowl combine baking soda, citric acid and Epsom salts. Stir well.
• In a smaller bowl, combine the grapeseed oil, polysorbate 80 and essential oil.
• Slowly whisk wet ingredients into dry. It should reach a crumbly consistency.
• Your mixture is ready when you can mold it into shape and it sticks w/o coming apart, like beach sand. If it is too crumbly, slowly add more water. 1/4 tsp at a time. The mixture should be dry but be able to hold a shape.
• Press into molds.
• Pop out of the molds and place on cookie sheet.
• Sprinkle with glitter. Let dry for 8-12 hours.
